Good location just off Double Six Street. Easy walk to beach. Very clean and modern. Handy for a few nights before heading out to the islands or up to the mountains. Rooms were kept spotless and buffet breaky was delicious. Downside is the lack of gardens and space around the pool area.
Otherwise great spot.

Chose this hotel as it was new and in the area we like to stay in. Normally stay at The Haven. Went for a cheaper price this time and was sucked in by the images on both the wholesale travel & hotel websites which mis-represent the Deluxe Pool Access Room as having a timber deck with the pool right outside your door – not so. None of these rooms have the decking leading from your sliding door into the pool. Some of the rooms on this level have some concrete and then the decking into the pool. I flagged this on arrival and was met with politely “All the rooms on this level are Deluxe Pool Access Rooms madam.” Other guests parade up and down here day and night. Guests with these rooms are led to believe that the 2 sun beds outside their room are perhaps for their exclusive use. This is not accurate.

If I list the good and bad points you can see which ones matter to you and make your decision accordingly. Good: value for money, good location, great sandwich bar just outside called Swich, proximity to a variety of dining options and the beach, friendly, helpful staff, clean, clean, clean, aesthetic appearance and pool, fab rooftop terrace for sunset drinks, good telly, unbelievably comfy bed & pillows, good housekeeping and turndown service.

Bad: Breakfast. Bali coffee even when you request a machine coffee. NOISY hotel. Perhaps the walls are made of cardboard? You can hear someone drop an earring on the floor in the room above. Furniture is moved all night. Guests with their wheelie bags trawl up and down the corridors outside your room each night from 1900 (departures) – 0200 (arrivals). The rooms don’t have any storage space. I have attached some pics. The furniture is there but if they had just put in some drawers in the bedside table and the luggage rack and the cupboard, you could unpack. Wet towels and clothing were hung outside on the trellis which wasn’t the best look.

Bogans: I guess due to the price this place was colonised at certain times during the week with the dreaded ‘Bali Bintang Bogan’ who can be recognised by their (male) Bintang singlet, boardies, stubbie cooler, tattoos, piercings, wraparound sunnies (worn day and night) bald head with a goatie for the older version, huge guts, smoking rollies. During their 9 hour drinking sessions in the pool and after consuming all that Bintang they don’t leave the pool to go to the toilet. They were accompanied by the similarly proportioned female version (braided hair) who used the same amount of foul language as their fellas. Of course, they shout all day and night, come home hammered and while we were there at 0400 a window was smashed out on the 3rd floor and shattered right into the pool which closed the pool for half the next day.

In addition to this clientele, the hotel is primarliy designed for the Asian market, hence the small room size. The roooms aren’t small if you are used to living in Asia and are small in stature. Although there is an egg chef, the breakfast choices are skewed towards Asian choices (dim sums, dumplings, cabbage rolls, noodles, rice) and there is no Level 4 or room numbers that end in 4 – as that is an unlucky number in Chinese culture. Their big groups arrive by bus late at night and shout and laugh and take flash photography right outside all the guest rooms. I got fed up one night and went out and told them to shut-up.

It is such a shame for this resort as the staff try really hard to work with what they have at Ananta and it is our fellow guests who tarnished our holiday experience meaning that we wont return. It’s Villa time……………….

Room Tip : We had 105 – close to reception which has it’s beneftis and drawbacks. Guests on the other side told us about the annoying geese. Guests at the back told us about the construction noise.

WELL, I will begin to review may be useful
It was an amazing experience to stay at Ananta Legian Hotel during October 3-6 2012

First about the location:
Location ANANTA LEGIAN HOTEL
been very good, because you will easily get access to the beach, just a 5 minute walk kaki.ataupun very easy to find the main road, as well as shopping centers

Both about the hotel facilities
Hotel Ananta Legian think I’ve had very good facilities, you will feel the satisfaction of a very .. Restaurant was good, adequate lobby, comfortable rooms., And the most spectacular is that you can watch the sunset on Ambara Rooftop Bar at the top this hotel. The pool was pretty, but not too big for a 4 star hotel.

Third from service employees:
I think the hotel has an incredible asset that you may not find anywhere lain.yaitu employees who provide excellent service. check in and check out were fast, friendly service and warm made me as comfortable as I live in my own house. Especially Wahyuni and Mr.Putra. They are very unusual, understand what guests want, and always provide the right. breakfast and room service its amazing.

Room Tip : Choose rooms on the 1st floor, Deluxe Pool Side Access. because you will be able to easily get to the swimming pool.

If you are looking for a hotel that is well located and really convenient. this is the place!

The employees are really nice!

The bed is not really confortable and the room are quite small.

And I had a small problem with the shower. During the rush hour, my shower was crazy… sometimes too hot, sometimes too cold!!

No spa!!
