We stayed at the Padma Bali Resort in Legian with our 2 children on a business/leisure trip. Whilst the lagoon view room was a little cramped for the 4 of us we found the resort an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding streets.
The room was clean and simple, a little underwhelming for the price but generally well appointed.
The staff were exceptional and the daily buffet breakfast a huge highlight for the children.
The 2 pools lovely with the lagoon pool my favourite, with the beach across the road an easy walk for a surf each day.
The Madara day spa Ultimate Indulgence package a must do, exceptional value for money.
The hotel position means it is a 3 minute (very cheap) taxi ride to Seminyak, where we tended to eat out each night, however we did get room service and were suitably impressed.
Would definetly stay here again as a family.

Yes the Padma is a great hotel. I won’t argue with that but I really feel they need to review their prices for the lower end rooms. As a family of 6, I paid $500 a night for 2 rooms and then they wanted about $180 extra per night for the 2 extra children. Way too expensive for some linen and a breakfast when they are squeezing in with us. So at nearly $700 a night I was very disappointed to find myself at the far end of the resort on the road in an old unit block like accommodation. Far from most the hotel amenities about a 7 minute walk to the beach. One of the main reasons I choose this resort was to be on the beach. With this room location I would of being better off paying less then half at a hotel further back from the beach in the backs streets where I now was. We meet another family who was paying the same price for a garden room which was closer, bigger, newer and nicer. Special or no special this is not good enough or fair value for money. Padma please rethink your prices for the older rooms.

When we decided to holiday in Bali we wanted to stay in a resort and a friend recommended the Padma. We loved where it is located, near Kuta but not amongst the crowd. We had our children with us and having a room close to the Lagoon pool was absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed it at the resort so much that we didn’t like to go out. The breakfast buffet was just amazing. We also had dinner at the main restaurant and although we paid more than we would outside, it was worth it because the food was delicious. I recommend the duck dish, better than the ones at The Dirty Duck restaurant. The staff were very friendly. We got a cot for our toddler and a King and a twin for us and our little boy. We’d walk along the beach to Kuta but even the gardens in the resort was beautiful to be surrounded by. We didn’t go to the beach because our young children preferred the pool. If you are looking for a place in the Legian area then the Padma should be on the top of your list.

We stayed at the Bali Padma for 12 nights and had a fabulous time. My husband and I travelled with our two boys aged 11 and 14. We had two Deluxe Chalets and couldn’t have asked for nicer rooms. Very spacious and comfortable. The resort offers a good variety of restaurants and is within walking distance to lots of others nice eateries. My boys loved having the option to swim in either the resorts pools or the beach. The buffet breakfast which was included was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We are still amazed that so many people remembered our names!! Our stay at the Padma was one of our best holidays we have had and we will certainly be returning.
